About the project

The increasing use of digital devices and screens has led to concerns about the potential negative impact on individuals' physical and mental health. Studies have shown that excessive screen time can lead to poor posture, eye strain, sleep disruption, and increased sedentary behaviour. Additionally, there is growing concern about the potential impact of social media and online content on mental health, including increased feelings of loneliness and anxiety.

The Digital Fitness project aims to address these concerns by promoting a healthy approach to screen time. The project aims to provide youth with the knowledge and skills necessary to use digital devices and screens in a way that is healthy and sustainable. This will include information on ergonomics, sleep hygiene, and mental health, practical strategies for reducing screen time and engaging in physical activity, as well as ways to use technology itself to improve the digital wellbeing, such as applications to track screen usage time, digital behaviour and important statistics, in the aim of increase the awareness of our digital wellbeing, its importance, and practicalities in how to improve it, all this while combining it with the physical activities and proving its impact on changing the digital behaviour and contribute to the digital wellbeing.
